A few years ago I played with a kaleidoscope, and since then I have acquired some new lenses, so I thought I would give it another try. If you would like to see the old ones to compare, look under "Through the Looking Glass".
On a Sunday afternoon, I had a lot of pent up creative energy, and these are what I came up with. Basically, I filled a big glass bowl with water and started dropping food coloring into it. Every now and then I would pour the water out and start over with something new. I am quite excited about these, and at some point a few are going to find their way onto my wall.
The last time I photographed these two, it must have been a hundred degrees outside. But this time we were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous fall evening, despite the fact that our fingers were numb by the time we finished. I'm amazed at how much this little girl has grown! And these are some of my favorites.
This one looks so classic and timeless. She does serious so well.
Some poses simply cannot be planned. She did this all on her own, and I thought it was absolutely precious.
I'm pretty sure she has either a leaf or flowers in her hand all evening. And this is just a glimpse into her energy.
