A friend of mine is a cosmetologist, and needed some portraits of a few styles for a salon coffee table book. So, she brought over some models, and here are a few of the style samples she did. I thought she did an excellent job!
I origianlly created this blog as a motivation device to take the necessary time to photograph things outside of work. While working for other photography companies, I was losing myself. In fact, I shot so much I did not even do it for fun anymore. It's a scary realization to discover your passion has become a chore. So, during the post-Christmas lull, I began Whimsicals by Margot. Suddenly, I had a reason to do projects for myself. I eventually left my job and now freelance at my own pace. It's funny how much has changed since the first time I took a picture as an 8 year old, and knew from that moment I was going to be a photographer. And 4-H photography, a visual communications degree, and 3 studio jobs later, I still am a photographer.
